A Day Well-Spent

A day well-spent may not be planned.
(as in our case)

After attending the Sunday mass, we went malling...

and found these Lego Creations that's so amazing...our National Hero in Lego!

had our lunch...

took some pictures

with my three boys...(you can see my husband in the mirror) LOL!

catches their "having-fun" moments (secretly...)

went shopping for his promised toy...

and for his shoes in a blue box.

We visited another shopping mall and was surprised to meet a friend.
We then drop by at my sister's house and these blue gifts are there waiting for us...

a blue Nintendo 3DS from Japan

a Smoked Salmon in blue box from Canada

a blue tshirt from Las Vegas.

Our well-spent Sunday made me realized how blessed our family are.
Thank you, Lord God!

DIY-Gift Box

I'm so proud of this gift box I made as a souvenir when my son received his
Sacrament of Confirmation.

I searched the web for free printable template.

Added some ribbons and labels.

And its done!

My Father's 11th Death Anniversary

We were so glad that the weather was good
when we visited my father's grave last Feb. 11.

The sun was shining so bright on a BLUE sky when it just rain the other day.

I was glad mom wore the RED scarf we gave her
when hubby visited India.

We had ordered flowers for Papa and then I remember the poem I wrote for him.
Reading it again made me miss him more...

...and the serenity of the place made me long for him even more.

Back home, we pay tribute to the man who made us who we are now!

We love you, Papa!   And we miss you.
May you rest in peace.

Picnic Food Container

This picnic food container has been with us for quite some time now.  It has not been seldom used because we don't usually go to picnics.

We often do potlucks during family gatherings so this container is not enough.

During my sons' school's foundation day, I had the chance to use this.

I packed lunch for my kids: rice, fried chickens with gravy and some sauteed noodles or "pancit sotanghon".

But the kids are soooo excited with the school activities and hang around with their friends that they had taken their lunch when I came... Maybe some other time, we got to fully use this.

Our Growing Community

Change can happen anywhere.

In the community where we live in, new houses are being build.

That means new families will be moving in. And new friends will be made.

For sure our community is growing and still growing...

Blue Lights on Blue Monday

Mom decorated her christmas tree with blue lights.

She is so proud of it

and willingly poses with it.

Honoring mom on her 76th birthday last December 24th! Love you, Mommy.

BPC-6/365: Cakes & Cupcakes

Here's some of the cakes and cupcakes that made our celebrations complete:
Cupcakes from my friend's Charley's 7th Birthday

A birthday cake for my eldest son...a gift to him by his BFF

another cake for JM

My birthday cake c/o Max's Restaurant

Kevin's (my second son) birthday cake,
a collection of chocolate mouse cake.
He likes it this way instead of the usual whole cake!

My mother's birthday cupcake from me

Another cake for mom from my "ate" (eldest sister)

Carrot cake for mom again from "ate"

A birthday cake for my brother-in-law from his family...

I've read from one book to never celebrate, especially birthdays, WITHOUT a cake!
