My Three Kings

I wrote this poem last 2011 and shared it at FamilyFriendPoems as we celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany.

My Three Kings

On this Feast of the Epiphany
I can only rejoice for the many
Beautiful blessings my God has given
Especially for my beloved children.

Sleepless nights are nothing compared
To the wonderful moments we've share
My sacrifices became my price
When I saw those twinkling eyes.

On this Feast of the Epiphany
I'll give what'll make them happy
Books they've waited on the shelves
Their loving hands now will have.

For my three Princes, everything I will do
Be on their side to guide them through
Ready to give a push if they want me to
When they're tired, I will carry them, too.

I can't think of anything I won't do
For the Princes that made my dreams come true
I want them to know what my mind and heart sings:
That now and forever, they are MY THREE KINGS!

Proudly: Me and my three kings...

15th Wedding Anniversary

January 3 is our wedding anniversary!

It was 15 years ago when we finally to take a vow to spend the rest of our lives together. "For better or for worst".

God has been so good to us. He blessed us with three wonderful kids and supplied all our needs.

In celebration of our 15th Wedding Anniversary, we had dinner at home. Afterwards we took our family picture so we can remember how we have been fifteen years after...

We thank God for the blessings He showered our family. We pray that He continuously guide us in our daily living. May we live in LOVE forever, AMEN!

Mommy and Me Monday: Christmas Day Mass

We decided to have our photo taken in front of the church after attending the mass on Christmas Day.

We got busy afterwards visiting their grandmother in Manila while my husband played Santa Clause.

Our First Family Picture for the year 2013 (BPC-1/365)

New Year is where we post for our first family picture for the year.
I will try to take more photo of our family this year...

Notice we're all wearing green. Aside from naming it (by Panthone) as the color of the year, its also one of my favorite color because it symbolizes harmony.

Mommy Moments - Mommy's Unforgetable Stories

mommy moments

The 13 years of married life brought me loads of stories to tell. Ordinary stories that brings great impact in my life.

I got married late. I had a long engagement, almost 8 years. Finally, we decided to get married because we believe we are prepared for it already: emotionally, financially, and spiritually.

God has been so good to me because he blessed me with a good husband and wonderful kids. There sure are rough times but we manage to survived it because of the love we had for each other and our love for God.

I cannot forget my stories of giving birth to my kids. Each has a different story to tell. But I want to share the story of my eldest's. Since it was my first pregnancy, I dont know what to do. I didnt know that my baby was already stressed out in my tummy. He was already infected with the meconium stain when I gave birth to him. Because of the infection, we decided that he stayed in the hospital for 7 more days until the infections were treated.

It's so sad to go home after giving birth and you didn't bring your baby home with you! I was having dreams about my delivery. I was in the hospital everyday to breastfeed my son but they won't let me stay long in the nursery. Only during feeding time. It was a little sacrifice I had to face for my son. And it didn't go to waste. He grew up to be a healthy, fine young man of 13! (He was born 9 months after we were married)

My family is my world now. I stopped working 11 years ago and decided to be a full-time mom. Another decision I had to choose but it's paying off well... Happy mommy moments!

Nostalgia - My Husband's Birthdays

I failed to write a post about my husband's birthdays, so it's going to be my entry here in Nostalgia...

Last year, my bestfriend who's working in Middle East visited us on my husband's birthday. We went to Pink Sisters in Tagaytay.

Besides the church

The whole family had a great time with the company of my dear friend, Willie, who I haven't seen for more than 10years.

THIS YEAR, we had a celebration at home with the whole family.

My kids blew some balloons and paint the face of angry birds on it. I prepared their favorites: Pancit Canton, Fried Chicken, Kare-Kare and Menudo.

We also bought a 3-flavored cake (which everybody enjoyed).

I know my husband enjoyed this day so much. He is even so cooperative in posing in front of the camera.

This will be one of the most memorable birthdays I've prepared for him (so far)... love you, Papa!

Orange Tuesdays 16th Edition

Hi, there! I'm so glad to have found "Shengkay's Randomness Journal"and was so excited to join Orange Tuesdays.

Here's my share for the 16th Edition of Orange Tuesdays:

My youngest son, Phoebo, wearing his fave shirt. Posing with the Koi fishes in Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

And the Koi fishes, of course, all so eagerly waiting to be fed.

You can also join Orange Tuesday, its fun!

They're Growing Up!

We were strolling in a mall one Sunday afternoon when I noticed my sons as they walked ahead of me. They have grown up and I didn't even noticed it.

My eldest son's already responsible to take care of his siblings.

There are times when they wanted to go out with their friends. (without me tagging along). At first I have hesitations, because for me, they will always be my babies. And babies need their mothers. But, in the end, I still gave them my permission.

I know there are a lot of things they should learn especially now that they're growing up. But, as their mother, I still want to hold-on to them. I wanted to be with them in every step of the way. I wanted to know what they're doing in every minute, second of their lives. Reality is...... I can't be!

Experience is still the best teacher. I only pray and hope that the values they've learned and continue learning from us, as parents and as friends, will guide them through.

Hope and pray that they'll grow up to be GOOD men.

Mommy Moments - I am a Daddy

mommy moments

My husband and I planned to have a baby as soon as we're married so our firstborn is a "honeymoon-baby"!

My husband, as he looks on our first child at the nursery

My husband was supportive during my pregnancies. I have three. Excited on what food I would crave on and won't buy anything with dark color! He was so funny! I remember when I ask for "dinugan" he wouldn't let me eat any but when I asked for a "turnip", he buys it at once!

After my pregnancies, he was even more supportive. From naming our babies up to having the registered! He made sure that our babies were registered before I left the hospital!

my husband,carrying our second child

He was just too scary holding our newborn babies. We would place our baby on a pillow before he could carry them. He said they're too fragile.

my husband, on our youngest's baptism

After that phase and our babies started growing, he would make a chant on our babies name (all three of them) when he calls them. Like, "shua-migul" for our eldest, "binbirinbin" for our second, and "phoebo-bo-bo-bo" for our youngest. You will hear him do these chant when he comes home from the office. Even now that our eldest 12yo., he still do these chants.

And I think he will never get tired singing those chants to our kids as long as we're here...
